This Christmas holidays if you’ve got friends visiting and want to impress, or if you just don’t want to do the dishes, check out these great restaurants open to serve you.

Brothers Leagues Club

The jus at Brothers

Brothers Leagues Club will be open the entire Christmas period except Christmas Day.   The club boasts a restaurant and a cafe as well as three bars on site and they have gelato!  Plus kids eat for free at lunch and dinner from Monday to Thursday with a full priced adult main meal during the school holidays!

Club Services Ipswich

Club Services Ipswich dining options

Club Services Ipswich will be open all through the holidays except Christmas Day, seven days a week.  And kids eat free during the holidays on Sundays and Mondays with the purchase of a full priced main meal – and for only $5 other days.

Elderflower Cafe

Elderflower Cafe will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, but open the rest of the holidays from 7am!

Ipswich Jets

Open the entire holidays except Christmas Day, Ipswich Jets is the place to be for heritage charm and great food.

Indian Mehfil

Indian Mehfil

You can enjoy delicious Indian food at Indian Mehfil for lunch and dinner all through the Christmas period, except for Christmas Day.

Pumpyard Bar and Brewery

There’s a couple of chances to get a taste of locally brewed craft beer and exceptional food from the Pumpyard Bar and Brewery these holidays.  The Pumpyard will be open Christmas Eve, before shutting down for five days, then opening again on Saturday and Sunday 30-31 December.  They will close again on New Year’s Day, Tuesday 2 January and Wednesday 3 January. 

January 4 is when they re-open for normal trade after the holiday period.

Ruby Chews

Ruby Chews Burgers & Shakes

Ruby Chews will be open right through the holidays except for Christmas Day. Classic burgers and crispy chicken are the things to try here!

The Cafe Kalina

The Kalina Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich

Known for their epic Philly cheese steak sandwiches the Cafe Kalina will be taking a break Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

They will be open as normal the rest of the holidays.

The Cottage Restaurant

The Cottage restaurant

The Cottage Restaurant is open for lunch on Christmas Day by appointment only.

They will close Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 26, 27 and 28 December and open for bookings on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 29, 30 and 31 December.  Closing again on New Year’s Day, Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 January.

They will then open on Thursday 4, Friday 5 and Saturday 6 January before taking a break from 7-22 January and reopening Tuesday 23 January 2024.

Bookings are encouraged to avoid disappointment, as the restaurant may alter hours over the holidays depending on bookings.

The Rusty Nail

The Rusty Nail Bar

The Rusty Nail will close down from Christmas Eve until Wednesday 27 December.  They will reopen again for a big weekend from Thursday 28 December including New Year’s Eve, and then have a rest on New Year’s Day.
