Are there any Heritage homes open on a daily basis in Ipswich?
No, these houses are only accessible on a  drive by basis. Twice a year three homes are opened to the public for a small fee as part of the Great Houses of Ipswich event in May and September.

Are there bus tours of the Heritage homes in Ipswich?
Yes. If you are a group travelling by coach, the Ipswich Visitor Information Centre can arrange for a tour guide to take your group on a two hour Heritage Tour in your own bus.
When is the Lagoon open?
Lifeguards are on duty from 5 am-9 pm during September through to April and 7 am-5 pm during May through to August.

Where is the Animal Park?
The Nature Centre is in Queens Park opposite the large open green area.
When is the Animal Park open?
Tuesday through to Sunday. The Animal Park is only open on Mondays during school holidays.
How much does it cost to enter the Animal Park?
Free however a gold coin donation is appreciated as it goes towards the care of the animals.
Can I get married in an Ipswich Park?
Yes. Where is the Caravan Park?
  • There is a Caravan Park at 95 Mt Crosby Rd, Tivoli Qld 4305.
  • The Ipswich Showgrounds also offers sites year round except for the week of the Ipswich Show.
  • Ipswich Country Motel offers secure RV sites.
  • Rosewood Showgrounds is also an RV Friendly Town site.
Where can I camp in Ipswich?
There is an eight site camping area at Hardings Paddock in the Flinders-Goolman Conservation Reserve, which can be booked via the Discover Ipswich website. https://www.discoveripswich.com.au/accommodation/hardings-paddock-campground/
Where in Limestone Park does the bus pick up people going to the Hospital?
The carpark on Selwyn Edwards Drive, just off Quarry Street.

The Ipswich Visitor Information Centre is located at Queens Park on Queen Victoria Parade in Ipswich.

This multi-award winning Visitor Information Centre offers a one stop shop for travel information including maps, brochures and travel planning. With a Team of passionate, knowledgeable locals to provide insights into the things to see and do in the Ipswich region, a visit to the Ipswich Visitor Information Centre is a must.

Included in a long list of visitor services are a free booking service for accommodation and tours; a great selection of souvenirs and local arts and crafts; free parking for cars, caravans and coaches; cafe for light refreshments; and free wi-fi internet access. There's even a shower for the long-haul travellers.
