Just 20 minutes from Ipswich Central and 45 minutes from Brisbane, Hardings Paddock campground is a perfect weekend getaway for the whole family. Surrounded by natural bushland, there are just eight campsites available, which adds to the feeling of seclusion. The campgrounds are suitable for tents, motorhomes and caravans. There’s no power, but guests have access to camp toilets and kitchen including barbecues and shower cubicles (BYO shower bags and portable water). There is a holding yard for horses (with access to water), bring your horse to enjoy the riding trails.
Hardings Paddock also features a permanent Kupmurri cooking area, Aboriginal Totem walk, yarning circle and bush tucker trail designed to enable cultural practice and knowledge sharing.
With all the activities on offer across the 2,250 hectares of the Flinders-Goolman Conservation Estate, you’re going to need to keep your fluids up, so bring plenty of drinking water. Recreational opportunities include bird-watching, hiking, orienteering and mountain bike riding – remember the compass and bikes!
The camping area is always locked. Once bookings are confirmed, a camping permit/confirmation with the campground combination code is sent. The code is changed regularly.
