55 Ellenborough Street‚ Ipswich

If you’re after a dog-friendly, community focussed café, then Ellen and Rod is the place for you.  This cute café on the corner of Ellenborough and Roderick Streets offers Five Senses Coffee by the cup and by the bag.

Sit outside and watch the world go by, grab a blanket if it’s chilly.

If you’re after something a little different choose a cold brew or French press coffee from the alternative brewing menu.

The menu changes seasonally, but you’ll always be able to find a deliciously good eggs Benedict, with house-made hollandaise. The loaded scramble is just as popular though, and worth a try.

The breakfast menu includes shakshuka, breakfast burgers, avocado on toast, waffles and savoury mince, available from 6:30am until 11am Monday to Friday and 6:30am until 11.45am Saturday and Sunday.  Lunch is served on weekdays from 11am until 1:45pm, including a range of burgers and sandwiches made to order, Thai beef or chicken salad, fresh daily salads and toasties on Turkish bread.

There are also great pastries including freshly baked chocolate and almond croissants available until sold out, fresh cold pressed juices, cold brew and lemon iced tea, all prepared in-house.  Babycinos are on the menu for the little ones and come with mini marshmallows.

If you bring your fur baby in, grab a photo to put on the wall of fame.
