As the temperature drops there’s nothing better than sitting by a cosy fire, wine or beer in hand or enjoying a delicious meal. Here’s four places in Ipswich where you can stay warm and cosy watching the flames this winter.
Spicers Hidden Vale
The re-built Homage Restaurant design includes a double sided fire place. There’s comfy lounges where you can sit and enjoy the warmth of the fire with a drink and nearby tables overlook the fireplace. There’s also a fire pit outside to help up the ambiance.
The Cottage Restaurant
At The Cottage Restaurant there are two fireplaces. The restaurant is a converted heritage home and the warmth travels throughout the rooms. They also have a fantastic seasonal menu to try out in winter.
Jets Leagues Club
Being one of the oldest pubs in Ipswich, Jets still has a fireplace which was retained in their recent renovations. There’s a beautiful lounge nearby, making a cosy nook to enjoy a drink or two.
Prince Alfred Hotel
The Prince Alfred Hotel has a gas fire in it’s foyer area which creates a cosy atmosphere. Enjoy a glass of something while waiting for your meal as you watch the flames flicker.
Woodlands of Marburg
There is a working fireplace in the cellar at Woodlands of Marburg. The cellar is available for private bookings, great for celebrations.
