Book in for a Mother’s Day high tea at Dinmore Cottage and you can relax on Mother’s Day while someone else does all the hard work.

The heritage house has a beautiful garden area and elegant tea house where you can sit back and enjoy decadent savoury and sweet treats, delicious scones with cream and jam and more.  Add in the bottomless pots of tea and coffee and you’re ready to treat mum to a special day.

High tea experience costs $39 per person book now.

The Retro Diner 

This Mother’s Day the Retro Diner will be celebrating mum with a special menu.  High tea is also available if booked 72 hours in advance and starts at just $15 per person for sandwiches, scones, tea and coffee.  For $25 upgrade to sandwiches, scones, cakes, sausage rolls, quiches, tea and barista coffee.  Complimentary bubbles are included in the $30 package. The family-friendly venue is laden with retro-style gift items and home wares, sweet treats and jars of local honey.

Tranquil Tea House

High tea, Devonshire tea or tea tasting experiences are available on Mother’s Day and the day after from 10am-noon and 2pm-4pm.  Cost is $35 per person, children aged 6-12 $17.50 per person, children under 5 free.  Bookings of up to 10 people can be taken.

Club Services Ipswich

Forget cooking mum breakfast this Mother’s Day take her to Club Services Ipswich instead. 

Book now for a buffet breakfast on May 12 at 8am and 9.30am cost is $16 pre-paid ($22 normally), kids under 12 are $10.  Mums also have the chance to win a lucky door prize worth $250.

The club is also open for lunch and dinner from 12-2pm and 5.30-8pm with a complimentary glass of bubbles.  

Enjoy the sounds of Matti Biskit performing from 1pm-5pm.  Kids entertainer Holly will be on hand to keep the kids occupied during lunch with face painting and balloons.  Bookings are essential.

Ipswich Jets

Treat your mum to a lovely buffet breakfast at Ipswich Jets with eggs (scrambled, fried or poached), toast and condiments, grilled bacon, grilled sausage, hash brown, tomato, mushroom, baked beans, buttermilk pancakes, fresh fruit, assorted pastries and bircher muesli. 

Sit in the beautifully restored heritage building as you sip a cup of coffee and celebrate mum by letting someone else do the cooking.  Bookings are essential.  

Brothers Leagues Club

Book now to ensure your spot for breakfast at Brothers Leagues Club.  There will be bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, roasted tomato, hash browns, sautéed mushrooms and spinach, assorted Danish pastries, pancakes with berry compote and whipped cream, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, tea and coffee and juice. Cost is $25 non-members, $22.50 for members and kids under 12 are $10.

The club is also open for Mother’s Day lunch and dinner, $35 for two courses.

Queens Park Cafe

Brookwater Golf and Country Club

Take in impressive views at the Brookwater Golf and Country Club this Mother’s Day as you enjoy breakfast.  First sitting at 7.30am, last at 10am, bookings are essential. Cost is $35 adults and $15 for children 12 and under.

If you’re after something that mum won’t forget then Mother’s Day lunch at The Cottage is the place to be.  Set inside a charming heritage Queenslander on Limestone Street The Cottage restaurant serves up delectable cuisine in distinctive surrounds.

Order their special five course degustation menu with a complimentary glass of sparkling from noon to 3pm on May 12 for $79.

  • King fish, herbed spaetzle, baby beets, dill crème, borscht sauce.
  • Brisbane Valley quail, bacon powder, parmesan, Serrano ham, baby gem puree.
  • Feijoa and mint sorbet.
  • Sirloin and Wagyu brisket, fried béarnaise sauce, edamame beans, potato puree.
  • Pinapple chiffon, braised pineapple passionfruit gelle and pineapple fluid gel.


Homage restaurant at Spicers Hidden Vale are including a complimentary glass of bubbles on Mother’s Day.  The hatted restaurant sits in a historic barn on 12,000 acres of Australian bushland and is the epitome of fine dining combined with great service.  The full Homage a la carte menu as well as their signature tasting menu will be available.  Open for both lunch and dinner, bookings essential.

Racehorse Hotel

The Racehorse Hotel will have a special Mother’s Day menu on May 12 from 11am-9pm with the chance to win a pamper pack for mum.  There will also be craft for the kids dining on the day.

Woodlands of Marburg

The elegant splendour of Woodlands of Marburg, positioned centrally between Brisbane and Toowoomba, makes it a must-visit destination for its accommodation, venue options and historic tours. Step back in time as you enter the recently restored plantation-style mansion which was built in 1889.

A special Mother’s Day Devonshire Tea and Champagne Lunch will be held in the historic mansion on May 12 and the Tommy Smith Cafe will be open.  Mums get a free cup of tea and a scone in the cafe on Mother’s Day.  Bookings are essential.
