174 Seminary Road‚ Marburg

Tommy Smith Café is a relaxed country café within the historic Woodlands of Marburg estate, just off the Warrego Highway between Brisbane and Toowoomba.

It is a great stopping point between the two cities, attracting visitors from both every weekend.

The café boasts great sunset views over the countryside from an enclosed rear deck and equally lovely scenes from the front deck across to the historic mansion. This grand landmark was established in 1890 by Thomas Charles Smith who the café is named after.

Enjoy dinner with a glass of wine as the sun is going down on Friday or Saturday night, or plan a visit on your next road trip, for a weekend breakfast and lunch.

Staff are friendly, the unique coffee blend is on song, and the cabinet is always stocked with home-cooked treats such as blueberry and almond tea cakes and fresh scones with homemade jam. A range of Mary Stuart jams (named after Tommy’s wife) is also available.

Tommy Smith Café welcomes parties and functions – with special Christmas packages available, and if you want to extend your stay and make a proper weekend of it, rooms are available in the on-site Woodlands Country Inn.
