The Retro Diner are doing special Father’s Day treats on Sunday September 6 celebrating fresh seafood and hearty meals.

For breakfast choose from The Godfather brekkie, a full dad plate of bacon, sausages, steak, scrambled eggs, baked beans, hash brown, grilled tomatoes and toast.  Or The Spaniard, baked beans served in a spicy tomato and capsicum sauce with gooey sunny side up egg topped with crispy fried potato pieces, crumbled bacon and sour dough.  Try The Full Canadian, two belgian waffles with crispy bacon, ice cream, berries, whipped cream and maple syrup.  There’s also a vegetarian option, a fluffy omelette filled with baby spinach, tomato, Spanish onion, mushroom and sourdough.

On the lunch menu taste test Surfing in Seafood, a platter with fresh or kilpatrick oysters, grilled scallops, fresh tiger prawns, crumbed fish, chips and salad.  There’s also a Breezy Bayside Platter with house made seafood patties, fresh garden salad and fries.  The Carnivore burger is on the menu also, filled with grilled steak, house made beef patty, bacon, egg, pineapple, lettuce, tomato, beetroot, cheese and grilled onions with a side of fries.  Another option is the new Sliders and Chook – delicious slider with pulled beef and onion rings, pulled pork and coleslaw with three deep-fried chicken wings and fries with blue cheese sauce!

For dinner choose from the Swimming in Seafood (a platter with fresh or kilpatrick oysters, grilled scallops, fresh tiger prawns, crumbed fish, chips and salad), the Moreton Bay Special (a juicy piece of steak or chicken breast topped with half a grilled Moreton Bay Bug drizzled in a garlic buttery sauce – can come with fresh Aussie tiger prawns in a creamy white wine garlic sauce), Curried Prawns (spicy creamy curried Tiger Prawns served with fluffy coconut rice and garden vegetables) and Pasta Verdure (fresh pasta with grilled cherry tomatoes, baby spinach, mushrooms, grilled capsicum tossed in garlic olive oil dressing).
