Haven’t booked anywhere for Melbourne Cup day lunch?  Don’t worry, we’ve got 11 venues that are hosting Melbourne Cup Lunches this year. 

Book a table, bring your friends and pick your horse for the big day, Tuesday November 5.

The Cottage Restaurant

The Cottage’s talented chefs have created a mouth watering three course menu for Melbourne Cup day, including a glass of Louis Bouillot Grande Reserve.

There will be a live screening of the race, lucky door and sweepstakes prizes.

Tuck into cured duck breast, toulouse sausage, quail egg and gribiche as your starter.

For the main course choose either barramundi, cherry tomatoes, fava beans, saffron, verjuice or sirlon, wagyu brisket, roast garlic puree, beans and cafe de Paris.

For desert enjoy macadamia nut panna cotta with mango and lime.

Bakehouse Steakhouse

Eat, drink and meat during the Melbourne Cup at Bakehouse Steakhouse.  

Enjoy fine food, wine and elegance with a full day of delicious canapes, flowing drinks and fashions on the field, lucky door race sweeps and more.

Two packages available, all inclusive for $90 or canapes and a drink on arrival for $55.

On the menu is canapes including caprese skewers, aged lychee vinegar; mahi mahi ceviche tostada, avocado, radish, peanuts; herbed goats cheese mousse tartlets, caramelized onion, spiced lamb cigar, sauce gribiche.

Enjoy a light meal of Bakehouse’s signature petite steak frites.

Dessert canapés, walnut brownie, raspberry; white chocolate tartlet, honeycomb.

Drinks package includes sofi spritz, Bone Dry rose, prosecco, tap beer.

Club Services Ipswich

Indulge in a seafood buffet with dessert and you’ll also receive a glass of bubbly on arrival at Club Services Ipswich.

TAB opens at 7.30am and celebrations begin at 11am. Live entertainment by Talia Gouge and a fashion parade by Simply Beautiful Fashions.

There will also be a best dressed competition with prizes for best hat, best tux and more.  Raffles and lucky door prizes.

Bookings are essential, phone so you don’t miss out. Complimentary bottle of wine for every table of 10.

Brothers Leagues Club


Book a seat so you don’t miss this premium buffet with seafood for only $45 per person at Brothers Leagues Club.

Enjoy a complimentary champagne on arriva and entertainment by Dutchie.  Prizes and giveaways, from 11am.  

Ipswich Jets Leagues Club


A fun filled day throughout the entire club is planned for Melbourne Cup.

Entry includes a three hour drinks package, hot and cold seafood tower, sweeps, games, competitions, raffles, and more.

The Club TAB is open from 7.30am.  There will be tasting pop-up stalls around the club.

Grab your friends and enjoy Melbourne Cup at Jets Leagues Club, $60 ticket includes $10 in raffle tickets and a mystery bet.

The Racehorse Hotel

Grab a two course meal with glass of bubbles on arrival $49 per person at the Racehorse Hotel.  There will be sweeps, prizes for best dressed, lucky door prize, and banny the bookie.

The $25 entry includes buffet lunch, glass of bubbles and $10 worth of sweepstakes tickets!

Prince Alfred Hotel


The PA Hotel are hosting two Melbourne Cup functions on November 5.

A special Melbourne Cup event is being held in the Char’d restaurant.  Enjoy a three course luncheon from 11am to 3pm, a complimentary drink on arrival, lucky door and raffles to support Childhood Cancer Support.

On the day there will be special cocktails, sweekstakes, best dressed and best fascinator competition, a tabletop horse racing game with prizes and trophies for the winners.  

All races will be shown on the big screen and $5 from each ticket will go to charity.

And in the Tap’d Bar enjoy freshly shucked natural oysters and bubbles for $35 from 12pm.  Price includes a complimentary drink on arrival and races live on two big screens.  Ticket price includes $25 donation to Childood Cancer Support charity.

This two course lunch includes a glass of bubbles for $35.  Sit back and enjoy a meal while overlooking Queensland’s number 1 golf course.

The diner is BYO so feel free to bring in your favourite bottle of bubbly and enjoy delicious grazing platters.

Starting at $40 the entry level platter comes with mini quiches, sausage rolls, cheese, dip and crackers.

The next platter is $60 and includes mini quiches, mozzarella sticks, spring rolls, anti-pasto and crackers.

For $80 indulge with mini quiches, buffalo wings, anti-pasto, cold meats, cheese and crackers.
