Haven’t booked anywhere for Melbourne Cup day lunch?  Don’t worry, we’ve got a list of venues that are hosting Melbourne Cup Lunches this year.

The Cottage Restaurant

The Cottage Restaurant will be open for Melbourne Cup lunch this year.  Leave the cooking and preparation to the experts, then the hardest part of the day – apart from deciding which horse to back – will be choosing between pork belly or barramundi!

Enjoy a complimentary glass of sparkling on arrival then choose either Brisbane Valley Quail with brandade and salsa verde or house-made linguini with seared scallops, crab meat for entree.

For mains choose between pork belly with truffle mash potato or barramundi with crab souffle, followed by chocolate tart with creme fraiche, sorbet and raspberry.

There will be a live screening of the race and sweepstakes prizes.

Fashions on the Field at Ipswich Turf Club

The Ipswich Turf Club are hosting a Melbourne Cup Day fundraiser for Advancing Communities Australia.

There will be sweeps, raffles, auctions and fashion on the field plus all the racing action from Flemington.

Included is champagne on arrival, a three course lunch and a beverage package from 11am to 3pm.

Tickets are $150 and money raised will support Hannah’s House and Ipswich Community Youth Services to address youth housing and homelessness in the community.

Bakehouse Steakhouse is holding a fabulous cup day luncheon that will raise money for Beddown Ipswich, while you sip the afternoon away enjoying great food and good company.

Enjoy a glamorous day filled with delicious canapes, flowing drinks and a brand new Melbourne Cup menu.  Well-known radio announcer, producer and presenter Olympia Kwitowski will MC the event bringing it to a new level of sophistication.

Watch the race on the big screen and dress up to be in the running for fashions on the field.  The all inclusive package for $130 includes canapes and three-hours of drinks.  While the food and drink on arrival package for $90 includes canapes and a drink on arrival.

Both packages will enjoy the new Melbourne Cup menu of crispy skin Humpty Doo Barramundi, chicken roulade and wagyu eye fillet all served with delicious sides and finish with petite Basque cheesecakes.

Melbourne Cup at CSI

Indulge in a seafood buffet at Club Services Ipswich this Melbourne Cup.

On the menu is fresh prawns, oysters, blue swimmer crab, slipper lobster, as well as fried seafood, lemon pepper grilled salmon, and white wine or chilli mussels.  For non-seafood eaters there’s also honey chicken, roast pork, fried rice, Asian greens, antipasto, cold meats and salads.  For dessert there will be a selection of cakes and slices.

Doors open at 10am and celebrations begin at 11am. There will be live entertainment on the day, sweeps, a fashion parade, fashion on the field event, raffles and lucky door prizes.

Or if a buffet isn’t your style you can order a seafood platter for two in the Legends Bar for $59.60.  The platter comes with lobster, oysters, fresh prawns, battered and crumbed fish, battered prawn cutlets, crumbed calamari, crumbed seafood scallops and chips.  Add on a bucket of Stone and Wood for $25.

Book ahead to celebrate Melbourne Cup with Brothers Leagues Club.

Enjoy a complimentary pink gin spritz on arrival and a three course luncheon from 11am with live entertainment by Tommy Memphis.  Start with a QLD prawn mango and macadamia salad, then an alternate drop of char grilled grass-fed striploin or oven roasted chicken supreme.  Both meals come with duck fat potatoes, seasonal greens and sauce.  For dessert indulge in a creation called Death by Chocolate that comes with berry coulis and whipped cream.

Lunch costs $70 for members, $80 for non-members and for another $40 you can add on a three-hour drinks package that includes tap beer, house wine, Pimms and soft drink.

The Marburg Hotel is offering a delicious three course lunch for Melbourne Cup. 

The fun starts at 11.30am with sweeps, raffles and prizes for best dressed on the day.

On the menu is prawn and tomato skewers and chicken and mango salad for entree served as an alternate drop.  Mains are either fillet steak with zesty potato salad or crispy-skinned salmon with a Vietnamese style salad, also served as alternate drop.  The meal will end with a plated trio of desserts.

Ipswich Jets Leagues Club

Ipswich Jets have a special Western Australian lobster on the menu for Melbourne Cup!  It comes with a choice of four sauces, garlic butter, mornay, Thermidor or cold thousand island dressing and served with a fresh mixed salad and waffle fries.

The price is $49.90 for members, bookings are essential to reserve your spot.

The Club TAB will be open and there will be raffles, sweeps, lucky door prizes and you can watch the races on the screens.
