When the colder weather starts to get you down, why not let someone else do the cooking and fill up on warming dishes from restaurants around the city?

There’s more than one way to warm up at Club Services Ipswich this winter!  Head in to try three delicious cocktails perfect for the colder weather.

  1. Talisker Hot Toddy – a smoky twist on the classic warm winter drink, combining Talisker 10 Scotch Whisky with honey and lemon flavours.
  2. Baileys Latte – the ultimate indulgence, a delightful blend of classic latte enriched with a pour of delicious Baileys Original Irish Cream.
  3. Casamigo’s Paloma – a refreshing combination of Casamigos Blanco Tequila and pink grapefruit soda, garnished with a grapefruit wedge.

You can also tuck into a warming bowl of soup during winter with a half serve of fresh garlic bread.  The soup flavours will change daily and cost $14.90 for members.

The Sourdough Crust Co’s creamy carbonara is a huge seller when the temperature dips and for good reason. It’s got a silky, creamy and cheesy sauce filled with chicken, bacon, parmesan and pepper.  Yum!

The Dirty Birdie on the menu at the Orion Hotel, located at Orion Springfield Central is a hearty meal great for winter.  It’s a chicken halved and marinated in a secret rub, flame grilled and served with mash potato, seasonal vegetables tossed in clarified butter and finished with creamy pepper sauce.

They also have a delicious pumpkin soup on the menu.

Memories of India are making special winter curries like chicken stew, lamb stew, goat vindaloo and lamb Rajasthani.  And their signature cocktail this winter is the chocolate martini!

Apple crumble cocktail

​Brothers Leagues Club have an Apple Crumble Cocktail which is perfect for winter.  It’s made with vodka, Licor 43, apple juice and cinnamon and is on special for the month of June, $12 for members.

Also in June they are offering a winter meal of roasted Queensland reef cod with mash, rocket, smoked feta, balsamic onions and salsa verde, $35 for members.

Beef Cheek Ragu

Tuck into beef cheek ragu at Vapiano Springfield, located at Orion Springfield Central.  The tender beef cheeks in a rich house-made ragu combining carrot, onion, celery, red wine and tomatoes are perfect for colder weather.  They also have a chicken carbonara with grilled chicken, bacon, and onions in a house-made carbonara sauce, topped with grated parmesan and fresh parsley.

Hogs Breath Cafe Springfield, located at Orion Springfield Central has a fantastic two course meal deal, great to fill you up this winter.  Enjoy an entree and main or main and dessert for $38. You could be tucking into steak, salmon, chicken, prawns and avocado this June and July.
