What is Powercruise we hear you say? Powercruise has been around for over a decade, giving car enthusiasts a safe place to get their inner speed demon out of their body and onto the track.

From the moment you walk through the gates, it sounds and smells like excitement. You can close your eyes and hear cars racing on the track, smell cars doing burnouts and you just know it is going to be an action packed day!

Powercruise has it all, from cruising the Queensland Raceway track alongside other like-minded fans to powerskids, burnouts, drifting, a show and shine and more.
The atmosphere attracts all kinds of people, especially families that just want a great action packed affordable day out.

We caught up with promoter Micheal Gilbert who’s main goal is to make the fans happy with a place to take their cars and legally drive them alongside some of the toughest in Queensland, “we cater for everyone from the kids with entertainment just for them like rides and games, to the die-hard fans that haven’t missed an event in 10 years and even those just interested in seeing what the hype about Powercruise is all about”.

From 8am over 400 entrants will hit the track for the first session of the day, you can then make sure you have a good spot on the track wall to watch the powerskids, followed by the exciting off-street drags where you can see grudge matches and scores settled between mates.
With plenty more track action throughout the day you definitely do not want to leave before checking out the burnout comp which takes place on the burnout pad behind the main straight of the track, you never know how crazy it is going to get.

The next event is on the 18th of May at Queensland Raceway with hundreds of entrants booked in for a day of mayhem called Powerplay!
You can enter online or enter on the day to take your pride and joy out and be a part of it all or simply take the family for a great day out in the sun at one of the great Southeasts hidden gems.
