Celebrate Christmas in Ipswich and get your gift buying done at the same time with these great markets and events in the lead up to Christmas.

Heritage Christmas Market

Cooneana Christmas Market

Cooneana Heritage Centre is hosting a Christmas market on Saturday 22 November. There will be live entertainment and fairy floss as well as free entry to the museum during the event, running from 9am-1pm.

Pick up some ginger, lemon, creamed and pure natural honey from Walloon Gold Honey as well as beeswax, and bee items such as brooches, charms, lights and keyrings. 

The Crooked Broom will be selling pagan and witchcraft products for those who want something different! Valknut Meadery will have bottles of mead and Viking style ceramics for sale.

Imbibis Distillery will be there for your adult party needs. Ipswich Historical Society will have items for sale, as will the Spinners, Weavers, Fibre Artisans of Ipswich.

Try some Crows Nest soft drinks and syrups from vintage sips and grab drink from Hobbit Hole Coffee. Morning tea will also be available.

Top of Town Light up the Night markets

Visit Ipswich’s historic Top of Town and browse unique, handcrafted treasures with the opportunity to pick up a Christmas gift at the Top of Town Light Up the Night Markets.

The market will be held on Thursday 27 November from 5pm-8pm in Brisbane Street.

Santa’s Sugar Plum Pop-up

Experience the sweetest Christmas shopping in a handmade wonderland at Arttime Gallery. The Santa’s Sugar Plum pop-up has seen the gallery transformed into a sugarcoated feast for the eyes. Complete a Nutcracker hunt to go in the draw to win a special Santa gift 5-26 December.

Ipswich Twilight Markets

A special Christmas Twilight market will be held on Saturday 6 December at the Ipswich Showgrounds.  Get into the festive spirit with enchanting Christmas decorations, glittering festive lights, free activities, amusement rides, entertainment, Christmas Carols and a visit from Santa.

Entry is $5 but children 12 and under are free.

Handmade expo Christmas Extravaganza

Handmade Markets

The Handmade Expo is holding one last chance to stock up on artisan and locally hand made goodies before Christmas.  This Christmas market will be held on Saturday December 6 from 9am-1pm at Tulmur Place with over 100 stalls and live music.

Thrifts and Sips of Christmas

Enjoy a golden afternoon of Christmas vibes, good tunes and great company in the charming countryside of Marburg at Soul Nook’s Thrifts and Sips of Christmas event on 6 December, 11.30am-4.30pm.

ArtsConnect Ipswich are once again hosting an Off The Wall art and craft exhibition at the Ipswich Community Gallery, next door to the Ipswich Art Gallery over 12 December to 21 December.

There are over 40 local artists showcasing their art and crafts which are for sale, this is a great opportunity to buy local and handmade gifts including paintings, textiles, ceramics and more.

Christmas thrifty threads preloved market

A Christmas pre-loved thrifty threads market is being held at the Ipswich Showgrounds on Sunday 14 December. Santa is set to make an appearance with something for the kids at the market too!

The market runs from 7am-12pm.

Riverlink Christmas market

Small Wonders by Bec's handmade Christmas decorations and gifts available at the Riverlink Market Zone.

A late night Christmas Market will be held at Riverlink on Tuesday 23 December from 9am-9pm. There will be handcrafted gifts and unique finds.

Twilight Markets at Orion Springfield Central

Orion Markets

The annual Twilight Markets at Orion Springfield Central are set to be held on Tuesday December 23.  The markets will start at 9am and run until midnight, coinciding with late night trade at the shopping centre, great for last minute gifts!

Enjoy these Christmas themed markets filled with food, music, entertainment and more.  Find the markets on Main Street.
