Ipswich artisan gin distillery Imbibis has a new home in Bundamba… and it is simply stunning.
Inside a large airy warehouse in an industrial pocket on Gliderway St, owners Jason and Maree Hannay have created a glittering showcase for their award-winning distillery, complete with a tasting room which will also offer local wine and beer.
Imbibis has garnered quite a following since its arrival onto the market in late 2019 and earned a bevy of awards in its first two years.
The new site will be open on Fridays only initially while the Hannays juggle a busy weekend schedule of markets, including Springfield Markets and Ripley locally, and several more around south-east Queensland.
Jason said the open hours would gradually increase and he hoped to invite food trucks out in the future. He said the support from locals and the broader community towards their gin range had been great from the start.
“It’s been fantastic. Ipswich people are loving that there’s an Ipswich distillery and Ipswich gin,” he said.
