If you’ve been missing heading out to the markets, you’re in luck as markets are starting to resume in Ipswich. Here’s the low down on what’s on and when and some new markets that you can visit soon…
Fashion and Jindi Farmers Market
A new fashion, food and farmers markets will launch at the Ipswich Turf Club on Sunday July 26.
The new market will run from 7am-12pm every Sunday.
Entry is $1, however kids are free. The markets have a focus on stalls selling pre-loved clothes, shoes and accessories – but they are also adding farmers, artisans, butchers, bakers, food trucks and more!
There will also be a jumping castle for the kids, clowns and a fire truck at the launch.
The markets are also dog friendly, leads are essential.
Ipswich Showplace Markets
The new Ipswich Showplace Markets have returned every Sunday to the Ipswich Showgrounds with an artisan feel. There is now a focus on craft, food and produce with great kids’ entertainment.
The markets are still a gold coin entry and dog friendly with specialist doggy treats and accessories available.
A mobile dog groomer is usually available too to treat your furry friends.
If you’ve been missing your show fix, there’s show bags and fairy floss on offer. And for the kids there’s usually a bouncy castle!
Head down for brunch with O’Crumbs food truck operating offering epic burgers and loaded fries, J’s Latin doing Latin BBQ Fusion, coffee, iced tea and freshly made donuts – as well as a few other foodie stalls.
There will also be Body Shop beauty and skin care available and local art and craft as well as handmade children’s clothing, resin earrings, fresh fruit and veg and plants.
Quality second hand items now have a home in a pre-loved corner at the back of the market which is located at 81 Warwick Rd, Ipswich. Open Sundays 7am-12pm.
On offer is collectable items, great food, music, gems and jewellery, plants, art and photography and much more!
The markets are also dog friendly.
The monthly Ripley markets are back on Saturday night running 3pm-8pm at Providence, Ripley Valley. The next one is being held August 8.
There will be food trucks, live music, entertainment, arts, craft, plants and home wares and more at the dog friendly event.
The dog friendly Walloon Markets are run on the first Sunday of the month from 8am-11am at Waterlea Estate 62 Rohl Rd, Walloon. On offer is local produce, locally made fudge, plants, locally made skin care, handmade kids clothing, local honey, and baked treats.
