This year Christmas in Ipswich is set to include some fantastic events, carnivals and lighting displays, we’ve rounded up a few we think you’ll love, for more events visit the Ipswich Festivals website.
Santa and Sirens, City Christmas tree, late night shopping and toddler disco!

On Thursday 27 November the City Christmas Tree in d’Arcy Doyle Place will come to life as it is officially lit from 6.45pm.
There will be local carollers and an early visit from Santa to help with the lighting.
Santa and Sirens will also be held in the Nicholas St Precinct from 5pm to 7pm – where you can meet Santa and friends amidst a variety of emergency service vehicles decorated in festive cheer.
There will be live carols by Journey Church and Top of Town Light up the Night markets will run from 5pm-8pm.
A toddler disco will be on at UB’s Milk Bar in top of town from 4.30pm-6.30pm.
Carols and Christmas songs

A number of community carols will be held across the city for families and friends to enjoy. These include the Brassall Christmas in the Park spectacular on November 28 from 6-9pm; the Raceview Community Carols under the big tree on December 7; Carols in Ipswich Central Library on 4 December from 10am-11am; Cityhope Church Christmas Tree Lighting Festival on 7 December from 6.30pm-8.30pm; Springfield Carols on 13 December from 5pm; Carols on the Corner on 13 December from 6pm-9pm; Marburg Community Carols Evening on 14 December from 5pm-9pm; Whitehill Church Carols on 14 December from 4pm-7.45pm; Goodna Street Life Christmas Carols and Kids Party on 20 December from 5pm-9pm; Kruger Christmas Carols on 14 December from 5.30pm-8.30pm.

Marburg Christmas Carnival

Experience Christmas in the country at the Marburg Christmas Carnival with free kids’ rides and activities, market stalls and more.
There will be food trucks and markets, a bar and Santa arrives at 7.05pm.
Join the fun on Saturday December 6 from 4pm-8pm at 45-55 Queen Street Marburg.
Enchanted Christmas

Get into the festive spirit at the Enchanted Christmas Twilight Event on 6 December from 4pm-9pm.
There will be a fantastic variety of Christmas stalls perfect for Christmas gifts or something for yourself.
This event is not to be missed, with enchanting Christmas decorations, glittering festive lights, amusement rides, fun entertainment, Christmas Carols, and a special visit from Santa himself!
There will be ride and side show alley games, admission is $5 for ages 12 and over.
Santa and the animals

On Sunday December 14 visit the animals and dinosaurs at Ewe Nique Hobby Farm and meet their special guest – Santa! Bookings are essential.
Event goes from 9am-12pm, Santa comes at 10am. There will also be a sausage sizzle, ice blocks, cupcakes, cold drinks and a lucky dip. Animal feed buckets will be $2.50 during the event.
St Nicholas Precinct

Celebrate the wonder of Christmas as the heart of our city dazzles with a spectacular lighting installation. Nicholas Street Precinct will again transform into an experiential atmosphere of lights, colour and magical moments.
Come and explore the St Nicholas Precinct during the most wonderful time of the year from Friday 12 December to Sunday 21 December.
The lights will be turned on from 6.30pm-9.30pm nightly, except on Monday 15 December when a sensory session will be held (from 6pm-9pm). That session is for those seeking a gentler, sensory-friendly experience, with a quieter environment and dedicated low sensory tent, this evening allows more families to experience the joy of Christmas.
Little Humpty’s Christmas Party

On Wednesday December 17 Summer Land Camels is having a Little Humpty’s Christmas Party.
This fantastic children’s event is $10 includes and includes a kids’ farm tour, games and the chance to pat and feed the camels.
Rosewood Christmas Festival

Join in the fun of the Rosewood Christmas Festival with market stalls, Christmas carols, food, rides, entertainment and more!
Bring the whole family down to the Rosewood Showgrounds on Friday December 12 from 5pm-8pm.
Brothers Bigger and Better Christmas

Brothers’ Bigger & Better Christmas is coming on Wednesday 17 December! Enjoy live entertainment with the Cambrian Youth Choir at 5:30pm and Echelon Duo at 6:15pm, a visit from Santa at 6:30pm, and the Brothers Mega Christmas Raffle at 7:30pm.
Don’t miss out, there will be over $5,500 in prizes, including 25 giveaways and a major prize!
