A word from Pumpyard: Beeramisu
Ipswich’s city heart brewery in the heritage 88 Limestone site has won plenty of hearts with its deep fried Oreos but now there’s a new wacky dessert on the menu: beeramisu.
Yes, you read that right; Pumpyard Brewery & Bar introduces a beery take on the classic Italian dessert, tiramisu, among the newbies on its latest menu.
This version brings the dark and rich 4 Hearts Brewing Coal Miners Stout to the fold, which riffs beautifully with the sharp espresso coffee flavours. With cream and berries to complete this gloriously messy affair, we think the beeramisu will be a huge hit this winter.
Beeramisu was floated out as a signature dish by Chris Badenock on Masterchef a few seasons back.
Lovers of the deep fried Oreos that have been so popular in recent months can rest assured their beloved is still on the Pumpyard list.
You’ll also find a range of crowd-pleasers such as a 12-hour slow cooked brisket burger, sweet potato fries and loaded nachos.
Pumpyard Bar & Brewery is the home of 4 Hearts Brewing and is located in the 88 Limestone precinct which also includes Dovetails restaurant, Ungermann Brothers Icecream Parlour and upstairs, the elegant event space known as the Lord Lamington Suite.
Also good to know: Ipswich CBD’s first boutique cottage Airbnb has opened just a block from 88 Limestone.
