Winternationals
It’s loud, it’s fast, and it will provide an adrenaline rush to boot. The Willowbank Raceway Winternationals is the largest championship drag racing event outside of the USA and the biggest drag racing event in Australia. The next event will be held on June 6-9, 2019.
Roughly 40,000 people will gather at Willowbank Raceway to watch all the drag racing action take place over four days. Racing in a straight line down the quarter mile, it’s all about that top speed. Feel your body shake as you watch the cars excel from a standing start to 320 miles per hour in roughly 4.5 seconds!
The cars alone are a draw card with the entry categories including the slammer, the alcohol funny car and the king of the track, the top fuel dragster. The event also offers up plenty of food, merchandise and even the opportunity for race goers to get advice on their own drag racing dreams. More than just a race meeting, the Winternats has a real carnival feel about it, with children 13 years and under, accompanied by an adult, at no cost to enter.
