Due to the current situation with the bats and partial closure of Nerima Gardens, access is only available from the top gate. Guests should still meet at the main gates closest to the car park where your guide awaits. You will learn about Queens Park as you stroll up to Nerima Gardens top gate entrance.  From here you will enjoy a garden walk and tour before experiencing an authentic Tea Ceremony with your Japanese hosts; including light refreshments of tea/coffee and cake.  Please be advised that this walk is hilly and entrance area is not paved.

Enjoy a guided tour of Nerima Gardens to interpret key design elements that infuse both the Australian and Japanese cultures. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in the ceremony, and participants will need to take off their shoes and sit on the floor, which is covered with tatami mats. Observers will have access to bench seating with easy views of the ceremony.
