Among the eclectic range of businesses that call the Old Flour Mill home is one called Soul Cauldron.

People travel from far and wide to explore the shelves of quite magical stock here – but what’s it all about?

Well, Paul Knox and his wife Marina opened Soul Cauldron for people wanting to explore the world of spirituality.

“Spiritual but not religious,” he adds.

The shop offers an array of books on mind, body and metaphysical subjects – everything from the Faerie world to Buddhism and positive affirmations. You’ll also find crystals, jewellery, candles and, yes, little cauldrons for the burning of resins or affirmations and goals on a new moon if you so desire.

“This was a passion of ours,” says Paul, who left his work as a plasterer to open the shop.

“We wanted to have a place for people who were curious about their spirituality… for people wanting to expand their awareness of who they are spiritually.

“I think people know there’s more to the world than what our five senses tell us.”

Paul said many people ventured out to from Brisbane and said they had never found anything else like the collection on offer here.

He hopes to continue expanding the range of interesting and enchanting stock he offers.
