Country Ipswich offers many fabulous farms and rural experiences for families to explore – some where you can even stay the night, like TallaValley Farm.

Tallavalley Farm B&B is one such place – a working 50-acre farm that allows visitors to bring their dog and even their horse.

David and Jo Baker have been delighted by the response to their farmstay since launching it in early 2019 and have already hosted visitors from around Australia.

The farm is located within a short drive of country towns like Marburg and Rosewood, and Wivenhoe Dam and Flinders Peak Conservation Reserve.

And if you are in the mood for more country adventuring, farms such as Haigslea Ewe-Nique Hobby Farm, Summer Land Camels and Naughty Little Kids are all just a few minutes’ drive away.

In addition to the cows and horses who call Tallavalley Farm home, there are also two resident chooks to watch out for – Megsy and Pegsy.

Jo said dogs were also welcome at the property but just needed to stay out of the house – there is a large gated verandah for them to sleep on at night.

There is a fire pit with seating near the house – perfect for cosying up under a starry sky at the end of a day’s exploring.
