Looking for coffee in the Greater Springfield region? There’s plenty on offer, and delicious menus to explore too, around this modern and vibrant community.

Brookwater Barista

Brookwater Barista 1

This family business is run by Chef Alex and his wife Carolyn, along with help from their daughters, Brooke and Bianca. Pull up a pew in the winter sun out the front or enjoy the peaceful courtyard seating.

There’s a hearty menu of café classics to choose from and the meals are beautifully presented.  For a bite on the run in the mornings, the bacon and egg on a milk bun with a coffee for $10 has been a huge hit! After the café found its stride, the couple decided to open an Italian restaurant right next door, Cucina La Biancha, which has also earned a loyal following.

Open 5.30am to 2pm Mon-Thurs, 6am-10pm Friday and 6am-2pm weekends.

Find Brookwater Barista at 85 Leon Capra Dr, Augustine Heights.

The Café Kalina

Cafe Kalina Nutella Latte

This dog-friendly café is also family-friendly with seating spread across a deck that overlooks a wide grassy expanse and an adjacent playground. And this is not even the best bit – check out the quite stunning array offered here every day in the cabinet and on a menu that stretches past the norm.

Almost everything at Cafe Kalina is made from scratch and there’s a friendly team ready to welcome visitors from far and wide.  Try the Nutella Latte which has a following all of its own!

Open 8am-4pm week days & 7am-3.30pm weekends.

Find them at 66 Kingfisher St, Springfield.

La Mocha

La Mocha - The Istanbul

La Mocha is a popular café with a menu of bright Aegean-inspired dishes. Check out the Istanbul Tower as a perfect grazing option with dessert at the top, ready for its Instagram close-up. And the Turkish Menemen with eggs baked in tomato and spices.

Open daily from 6am week days and 7am weekends.

Find them at 31 Springfield Lakes Blvd, Springfield Lakes.

Screamin’ Beans

Jeff and Adelene from Screamin' Beans

This café has struck a chord in its community, claiming two people’s choice awards in the Courier-Mail for Best Café in Springfield and Best Brunch in Springfield.

This is a family-run business with owners Jeff, a chef, and his wife Adelene making all the food and keeping the cabinet stocked with beautiful and unique items including vegan and gluten free offerings. Keto fans will also find plenty to please on the menu. The tables spill out around the footpath outside creating a lively ambience, particularly on busy mornings and at lunch times. Another fabulous point of difference here is the PNG Fair Trade Organic Wikka coffee which has also hit the spot with locals.

Open from 5.30am week days and from 6am Sunday.

Find them at 23 Commercial Drive, Springfield.

Lotus

Eggs Benny at Lotus

Lotus is another long-time favourite of the Springfield community, tucked in off the main road as an oasis of good flavours. Good to know… you can take the elevator to Level 10 here to see the scaled view of the master-planned Springfield community, which was the largest of its kind in Australia when work began.

Open 7am-3pm week days and 7am-noon weekends.

Find them at 145 Sinnathamby Blvd, Springfield Central.

Moselles

Breakfast at Moselles

If it’s a water view you’d like with your morning coffee or lunch meeting, then this is the spot! Grab a table out on the deck overlooking the lake and kick back with excellent coffee and colourful food.

The all-day menu is available daily from 8am to 1pm and this is one of the region’s most popular spots for a long leisurely brunch.

Open 8am-1pm daily.

Find them at 18 Springfield Lakes Blvd, Springfield Lakes.

Raw Energy Springfield

More places to try in the area include Raw Energy for fresh healthy options that will put a spring in your step; Breakfast at Stephanies for casual dining by the Orion Lagoon and ice creams in cones; and Book Face at Orion Springfield Central where you can buy a book and a bite!
