Festival to channel Hollywood glamour
Kitsch in the Swich is happening again – this year on September 8, in the heart of Ipswich.
The ‘retro and rockabilly fashion fiesta‘ is a colourful annual event in the heritage city which brings crowds of vintage fashion and music lovers and classic car fans.
Organisers expect this year’s event, with a Hollywood Glamour theme, to be the biggest yet, with a packed program of events including live music, burlesque performances, a Hollywood Icons drag show and Pinup Parades.
There will be a colourful round-up of retro market stalls and food trucks and local businesses will be participating with their own themed events, including the new live music venue, Banshees which will be channelling Lana Del Rey.
Confirmed performers on the day include The Argonauts, West Texas Crude, Wet Fish, DJ Swing A Billy Ray and emcee Miss Chrissy of The Lindy Charm School for Girls.
Kitsch in the Swich runs from noon to 6pm on September 8 in the Ipswich CBD.
