Springfield is a modern suburb of Ipswich, featuring the Orion Lagoon, world-class golf course and an exciting retail precinct.  Here’s how to spend a whole weekend exploring…

Day 1 – Saturday

7.00 am: Pack the car and drive over to the entrance of White Rock–Spring Mountain Conservation Estate to enjoy the morning surrounded by nature.

Cafe Kalina Philly Cheese Steak

11am: Head to Sage Cafe overlooking the Orion Lagoon.  They are owned by the same folks who run Cafe Kalina, try their famous Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich for lunch.

1pm: Go down the hill to the Orion Lagoon for some time relaxing by the pool.

2pm: Discover Springfield’s hidden waterfalls and rainforest walks at Robelle Domain Parklands.

3pm: Kick back and enjoy craft brews at Ballistic Springfield. If you’re peckish taste some of their beer-infused menu items.

6pm: Spend the night cultivating your artistic side with a Sip ‘n’ Dip art class held at locations around Springfield. Most classes include dinner and a drink.

Day 2 – Sunday

6am: Wake up in a luxurious 4.5-star room at Springfield Lakes Hotel, head downstairs and take a dip before heading out for the day.

7am: Enjoy a lakeside view as you tuck into breakfast at Moselles Cafe + Restaurant.

8am: If you’re visiting on the first Sunday of the month, stop by the Springfield Markets. Or play a round on the award-winning Greg Norman designed public course at the Brookwater Golf and Country Club. 

Springfield Markets, Ipswich

12pm: Treat yourself to lunch at Coffee Guru Brookwater only a couple of minutes from the golf course.  They are famous for their pulled pork pies and brisket burgers.

2pm: Indulge in some retail therapy at Orion Springfield Central or pampering at Chi Massage and Day Spa (inside the centre).

If you’re visiting on game day spend the afternoon watching the AFLW players at the new Springfield stadium.
