While The Gathering was cancelled this year, the fun will go on thanks to an augmented reality experience you can do from home!
Ipswich Festivals have launched the Festival of 4 Walls which is bringing the Scottish experience into your living room.
Musical pieces featuring the City of Ipswich Pipe Band and local artist Wild Eyed Wonder will be shared on the Ipswich Festivals Facebook page and a video teaching you how to cook haggis nachos!
The Gathering launched a new format for their Celtic Festival last year at the Ipswich Showgrounds featuring highland dancing, celtic music, lost arts and a medieval re-enactment as well as strong man style Highland games. The festival plans to come back next year.
The Festival of 4 Walls has also released an Ipswich Show animation for anyone missing the annual show. And just by taking a photo or video within the app you can win one of 10 show packs and tickets to next year’s show. Send your pics in by Sunday May 24.
There will also be the opportunity to tour a Great House of Ipswich virtually and some backyard fun with the Broncos helping to get kids active in the backyard streamed.
And check out live streamed shows featuring Ipswich musicians as Studio 188’s popular Live! at the Baptist becomes Live Streamed! at the Baptist – also on the Ipswich Festivals Facebook page.
See the Ipswich Festivals website for details on how to download the augmented reality experiences and more information on the Festival of 4 Walls.
