Every year (when we’re not locked down due to a pandemic) Ipswich hosts the largest international country music event in the country – CMC Rocks QLD.
This sell-out event will see Ipswich dotted with pockets of country vibes as local businesses are offering mini-events of their own – giving you the chance to break out those boots even if you missed out on tickets this year!
Country Music Chill with the Camels
Just down the road from CMC Rocks is Summer Land Camels and they are joining in on the country fun! Join their lovely camels for a Saturday afternoon chill session, listening to country music, feeding the camels and enjoy a delicious meal from the café.
Sample their world-first Camel Milk & Honey Vodka or enjoy a Camel Milk & Honey Vodka cocktail from their special vodka marquee while enjoying the stunning view from the café gardens while relaxing to the sound of live music. Listen to country music at Jets Leagues Club
Jets Leagues Club have secured solo artists with a country feel on Friday September 23 and Saturday September 24.
On the Friday listen to Taylor Wilton and on Saturday Sharryn Bell.
Jets are also giving away two three-day tickets to CMC Rocks on Setpember 9, you can enter by spending $10 anywhere around the club.
Willowbank Wind-Up Bull Pit Bullride
The Willowbank Caravan Park is holding a pro bull riding event on Thursday September 22 from 7pm.
Watch some of Australia’s best cowboys ride top class rodeo bulls. There will be a bar and food stalls and an after party with DJ playing until late.

The program starts August 30 and runs through to November with limited places so book in now!
And only two weeks after CMC, Studio 188 has Jem Cassar-Daley (daughter of country royalty and CMC performer Troy Cassar-Daley) gracing the stage with her own original music for Live! At The Baptist.
See the Honky Tonk Angels
While it’s a little bit after CMC has left town, we thought we’d share the news that Honky Tonk Angels starring Brooke McMullen is coming to the Ipswich Civic Centre on Friday November 11.
The show is a love letter of songs through the decades, celebrating the women of country music and featuring hits from the 50s to the 90s.

Ipswich is home to two great hobby farm experiences, The Llama Farm and Ewe Nique Hobby Farm. They both let you get up close and personal to farm animals, including goats, sheep, donkeys, alpacas and of course Llamas.
