Every year (when we’re not locked down due to a pandemic) Ipswich hosts the largest international country music event in the country – CMC Rocks QLD.
This sell-out event will see Ipswich dotted with pockets of country vibes as local businesses are offering mini-events of their own – giving you the chance to break out those boots even if you missed out on tickets this year!

Well, if you are feeling inspired (pre or post-CMC Rocks), Studio 188 have a Grassroots to Grown program – a professional development program giving aspiring artists and industry the tools to grow a sustainable career in the music industry. The program starts August 30 and runs through to November with limited places so book in now!
And only two weeks after CMC, Studio 188 has Jem Cassar-Daley (daughter of country royalty and CMC performer Troy Cassar-Daley) gracing the stage with her own original music for Live! At The Baptist.
See the Honky Tonk Angels
While it’s a little bit after CMC has left town, we thought we’d share the news that Honky Tonk Angels starring Brooke McMullen is coming to the Ipswich Civic Centre on Friday November 11.
The show is a love letter of songs through the decades, celebrating the women of country music and featuring hits from the 50s to the 90s.
Have a farm experience
Ipswich is home to two great hobby farm experiences, The Llama Farm and Ewe Nique Hobby Farm. They both let you get up close and personal to farm animals, including goats, sheep, donkeys, alpacas and of course Llamas.
Just book into a session to experience life on a farm in the country.
