Flavours of Ipswich is Good to Go!

For Flavours of Ipswich, Shamrocks restaurant at Brothers Leagues Club will offer both a $25 lunch menu and a $35 dinner menu. It is all utterly delicious food but the dish we can’t take our eyes away from is the dinner entrée of slow cooked pork belly with a rustic house-made apple relish.

“We make a caramel first,” says executive chef Neil Smith, “then we add the diced apple, deglaze it with some apple cider vinegar and reduce it down a bit but not too much, so we keep that texture of the apple.”

The pork course is followed by a 250g Angus rump with shallot mash, wilted spinach and green peppercorn crème, and dessert is a pretty berry mousse tart with chocolate gelato and toasted almonds.

Lunch features a Thai-inspired noodle salad and a lovely Supreme of Chircken with protato gratin, broccolini and seeded mustard crème.

One of Ipswich’s biggest and best known venues is Brothers Leagues Club – the home of Shamrocks Dining, Finns Café and various bar areas.

The club had a major multi-million dollar renovation in recent years which has bestowed a glamourous open-plan ambience.

The feeling of space continues outside through the large glasses areas to the extensive playing fields around the club.
