Flavours of Ipswich is Good to Go!

Perhaps one of Ipswich’s best known venues is the mighty PA Hotel with a vast spread of elegant dining areas and a busy team of chefs at the heart of it all.

Firstly, a couple of things you should know:

The PA scored a national gong in 2017 when it was named Hotel of the Year at the Australian Hotel Awards for Excellence.

Secondly, this is the home of T’apd Bar which happens to have the largest craft beer offering in the southern hemisphere – you’ll find 72 mostly beers but a few ciders too, on tap here at any one time, and a fun bar menu to match.

Next door, in the restaurant space, Char’d, they’ve created a pretty spectacular menu of two courses ($25) or three courses ($35).

The food here has wow factor and this menu does not disappoint.

Start with smoked salmon Nicoise salad then enjoy the PA Classic Surf and Turf of smoked beef brisket and creamy garlic prawns with baby potatoes, cherry toms and battered onion rings.

For dessert there’s locally made Ungermann Brothers salted caramel, bacon and pecan ice cream snuggled up with Belgian style waffles and a mixed berry compote.
