Since graduating from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz Course in 2007, he has released seven solo albums with former WEA producer Simon Tittley and in 2019 completed a PhD in music composition at the University of Salford, Manchester. Lee is currently touring Australia and also active within music education/research. Lee released his latest solo guitar project, A World Away, in late 2023.
The quintet will be performing a range of diverse original repertoire from Lee’s three ensemble albums, Swish, Songs from the 13th Hour and After the Pier in addition to some brand new material with a blues-inflected passion throughout. Lee is supported by Brisbane guitarist Libby Myers, who is dedicated to exploring the ever-changing identity of the classical guitar.
