This independent craft beer brewery is one of a small number of breweries popping up outside of Brisbane city and a place that you can relax, enjoy the ambience and company of friends and family for a number of hours.
Very much focused on providing a community feel, it is a place that you can drop into for a quick bite to eat and a drink, or stay as long as you want and relax for an entire afternoon or evening.
This large venue has a very relaxed vibe and welcomes all comers from adults, children and dogs. On the weekend that we visited, there was a local singer providing entertainment which added to the relaxing feel.
There is a green grassy space at the front of the venue so bring the kids along and enjoy a relaxing beer while the kids run around, for smaller children there is a playground area at the back of the venue.
There is an alfresco dining area both front and back of the brewery and plenty of seating inside.
Bookings are a must with a huge amount of interest, on the weekend that the family and I visited, all tables were booked out.
During my visit it was very apparent that the brewery has a vast number of regular clientele and strive to make it as friendly as possible which contributes to the relaxing vibe.
The menu contains the usual pub food favourites and includes a number of starters from Calamari to Popcorn Chicken and skewers.
There is also a pizza menu, a selection of burgers and at the higher end of the budget you will be able to enjoy steak or ribs.
The fish and chips are beautifully crispy (and tasty) with beer being used in a number of recipes!
The spicy chicken and bacon burger was thoroughly enjoyed, with generously sized portions, and the beef ribs were succulent and full of flavour.
The brewery offers 20 beers on tap at the moment to try. If unsure, the staff are very accommodating and will help you trial a few by way of their paddle boards.
We trialed four during our stay which included my favourite, the Irish Stout. So creamy with a lot of body to it, this drink is not to be missed. If you like what you taste, you can also take their beer home via growler or a selection of tins.
They are open Wednesday to Saturday 11.30 am til late (9.30pm during the week; 11.00pm Fri/Sat and 5pm Sundays).
