Find out more about the science behind train travel, challenge your friends, solve puzzles and learn how science is a part of the things we do every day.

Explore the world of science through play with over 20 interactive stations including:

Rising spark – how far can the electrical spark jump?

Magnetic shuttle – move the ring without touching it.

Convection currents – how does heat make water flow?

Train wheels – which set of wheels will stay on the track?

Catenary arch – build a stable arch without glue or nails.

Entry to Sciencentre is free with Museum admission. Visit as much as you like in one year by purchasing an Annual Pass.

Great place to visit if you have children between 4-12.

Great for 10 years and under

Awesome little science center with lots of hands on exhibits. We had finished it within an hour. So for us, a little pricey! YET, younger children will love it and get more from it. more »

A must with kids aged 6-12

Our kids did not want to leave. Was wonderful. Gets full so book in advance. Our wait was 2 hours to get in. But we could have stayed for 2 hours. Well worth the $47 family pass. There were so many... more »
