When Peta Meek moved to Ipswich from Brisbane, one thing she missed was a good pre-loved market but there was a simple fix… she simply started her own. And it turned out there were many others just like her, hankering for a good rummage in a market of pre-loved clothing and accessories… along with plenty of willing participants as stall holders.

This is how Quibble Market began and has flourished as a regular market at the Ipswich showgrounds and at special events. “It’s taken off so quickly, since the first one in April (2023) at South Ripley,” Peta says.

The indoor space at Orion Springfield Central (opposite the Swim Factory) offers plenty of space for the weekly market which offers 40 stalls of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and accessories. There is always a coffee van on site and a hot food stall, and the market is becoming a loved social outing on the Ipswich calendar.
