Recently with the birds chirping and sun shinning, hundreds of cars and thousands of car-mad fans unleashed their fury and excitement at Queensland Raceway for the 32nd Powerplay event.
The spectators were not disappointed with one of the biggest Powerplay events hosted in a long time at the iconic Ipswich track.
Promoter Micheal Gilbert was happy with the turn out.
“It’s great that we can put on an event that puts a smile on everyone’s face, from the Entrants, Spectators and even the little ones, they are all excited to be a part of the action. For those not old enough to be racing on the track, they can participate in a foot race on the actual race track, the pure excitement seen on their faces is almost worth putting the event on alone,” he said.
The day is made up of Cruising Sessions, where entrants can cruise the track with the other cars including the Dream Team, who are a selection of hand-picked cars from Sydney that are iconic in the car scene and always draw a big crowd. As well as huge burnout sessions, powerskids, off street racing and more.
The next event is in September, a the big three-day Powercruise event with the entry list usually upwards of 800.
