This Saturday November 30, The Workshops Rail Museum is marking the 50th anniversary of the end of steam in Queensland with a party to celebrate the age of steam.
Step back into the 1960s, an era of rock and roll, groovy fashion, and classic cars.
Tour the steam collection with our expert curator, sit back with a drink, twist around on the dance floor to tunes by Darren J. Ray and the Love Bugs, or chill out in the theatrette with a slide show of rare archive photos of the end of steam in Queensland.
For those with a more racy taste, cheer on our nine finalists in the Miss Wild Thing 1969 Pinup Pageant. Marvel at a series of cars from the ‘50s and ‘60s, or just take the time to soak up the atmosphere of the Workshops after dark.
Dress up in the 1960s theme to go in the draw for Best Dressed!
Date: Saturday 30 November, 6pm to 9pm.
Price: $21 per person, Groups of 6 or more are $18.90 per person.
