Swanbank Food Fair Express

The Queensland Pioneer Steam Railway (QPSR) are trying out a new food fair concept, here’s what it is…

Hop the QPSR Picnic Train from Bundamba Racecourse Station to Swanbank Station. Then choose from one of five food stalls on site to mix and match your perfect meal in the park before returning to Bundamba Racecourse. We are pleased to welcome along Shanks-a-lot, Wiven Mad about fish chips and coffee, This Little Piggie and I DREAM ICE CREAM.

As well as some local entertainment, QPSR will also be unveiling the hard work they have been doing. They have been restoring the aesthetic of the railway station at Swanbank!

So grab the kids out and come along!

The QPSR Steam Train Experience:

Travel on a return journey to the newly refurbished Swanbank Station past the site of the Box Flat mining disaster and wonderful bushland and mining scenery.

Enjoy a heritage bus ride and explore the picturesque lake side (the bus stops at the picnic grounds and Cooneana Homestead).

This is a 90 minute return trip with a break in the middle for you to explore the local area and grab some fare from the food trucks available.

Cost:

Adult: $18.00
Child (5-15): $9
Concession: $9
Family (2A+3C): $45

Please note that this is the cost of the steam train experience only. Cost of food is additional.
