Beat the summer heat and escape to someplace completely relaxing with a pool in the Ipswich region! Here are just a few of those on offer.

Spicers Hidden Vale

Spicers Hidden Vale

The luxury escape Spicers Hidden Vale offers two beautiful pools at which to take a dip, linger with a holiday read or sip a cocktail as the sun goes down.

One features in the foreground of that famous country vista offered from the verandah of the retreat’s hatted restaurant, Homage, while the other is tucked into a leafy pocket near the luxury cottages you can call home for your stay.

Oaks Ipswich Aspire Suites

Oaks-Aspire

For a pool with a unique view, Oaks Ipswich Aspire Suites has one of the best – overlooking the city’s most Instagrammed heritage landmark, the towering St Mary’s Catholic Church. This view is particularly impressive in the spring when large jacarandas frame the adjoining Timothy Maloney park.

Springfield Lakes Hotel

Springfield Lakes Hotel

The Springfield Lakes Hotel is a bright little gem of a boutique hotel with a pretty pool area and it’s just a short drive to the shopping mecca, Orion Springfield Central if you feel the need to duck out for some new poolside attire and sunnies.

Country Motel Ipswich

Ipswich Country Motel October 2020

The Country Motel Ipswich is a great option for families with a great pool area the kids will love – complete with a Balinese style hut for relaxing by the water at day’s end.

Quest Apartment Hotels Ipswich

Quest Ipswich is known for its spacious apartment-style suites but its handy to remember there’s a nice little pool slotted in beside a quaint Queenslander cottage that doubles as a functions venue.

Woodlands of Marburg

Woodlands of Marburg pool

Perhaps the region’s largest place for a swim – and definitely the one with the most quirky history, is the half-Olympic sized pool you’ll find on the historic estate of Woodlands of Marburg. It was hand-dug by brothers of a religious order who occupied the site several decades ago and is surrounded by palms and established gardens.

Don’t forget to check out Ipswich’s popular pools and water parks for a splash and a play in the warmer months including Orion Lagoon, Bob Gamble Park, Ripley Splash ‘n’ Play and Tulmur Place!
