The Winternationals will run from Thursday June 6 until Sunday June 9, 2024. Racing this year is top fuel funny cars, pro alcohol, pro slammer, pro stock, top bike, pro stock bike and IHRA pro mod and many more classes.

Entry for kids 13 and under is free if you book online (however there is a $2 processing fee) and you can also bring food and drinks in just no glass or alcohol.

Read on to discover five reasons why you should book a ticket this year!

It’s the biggest Drag Racing event outside of North America

Winternationals 2021

Yep that’s right, cross America off the list and Winternationals is the king of the hill, biggest, baddest drag racing event in the world. Why would you not?

Cause’ we’ve missed it so much

Thanks to the pandemic we spent a lot of time indoors, that meant events were either cancelled or run with restrictions… Now events are back and bigger than ever with no restrictions and its about time we see the light of day! Get some sun, get some revs and let your race flag fly.

A top fueler from the 2021 Winternationals

Top Fuel dragsters and funny cars are among the fastest accelerating machines in the world. Obscenely loud and breathtakingly impressive, the fastest top fuelers come in at just under 530kmh and run the strip at 3.7 seconds. While the top fuel class is not at the strip in 2023, you can still bear witness to this marvel of petrol powered mastery with the funny cars.

Similar to their Top Fuel counterparts but with a shorter wheelbase and a carbon-fiber body that loosely resembles a production-based automobile, Funny Cars can run in the 3.8-second range and are capable of speeds similar to top fuel dragsters, they are just as loud and just as impressive!

It’s something different

There's nothing like feeling the vibrations of the drag cars in the grandstands at Winternationals

How often do you treat the family to a spectacle of this magnitude?  There’s nothing typical about a day out at Willowbank when the Winternats are going down and you’ll remember it for years to come.

Because you can

Festival food, pit crews, fast cars and action are only available all at once in a select few places on the planet – and Ipswich is one of them. If you’ve got something better planned I’d like to hear about it.
