See world-class art murals on a self-guided tour of Ipswich’s new Street Art Trail.
With seven new amazing murals now complete across Ipswich Central created as part of the Brisbane Street Art Festival, now is the time to view this inspiring art trail that is a must see when visiting Ipswich.
Artists include local contemporary Aboriginal artist Rachael Sarra, who painted a mural titled Distant Country on the side of the Ipswich Health Plaza. Rachael’s work often challenges and explores the themes of society’s perception of Aboriginal art and its identity. Her style is feminine, fun and engaging but is strongly drawn from her heritage and role as an Aboriginal woman in a modern world.
View Sydney based realist painter Fintan Magee’s Two Figures Behind Glass mural on the side of the Limestone Centre and other works from Gus Eagleton, Ash Taylor, Styna and Jordache.
Download a map to help you navigate your way around and leave plenty of time to explore the historic Top of Town precinct where most of the murals meander throughout.
See historic buildings that are now home to quirky cafes and eclectic shops and discover why Ipswich never felt so young.
