Wining and Dining

Pizza and loaded fries by the lagoon anyone?

Two Sisters Pizza has brought a new concept for a pizza shop to Springfield; loaded fries, where diners choose any pizza topping and have it served on their hot chips.

And there’s a hefty list to choose from – from the vegetarian ‘Farmer’ with mushrooms, olives, red onion, sun-dried tomato, roasted pumpkin and baby corn. To the ‘Pesto Lamb’ wafting basil and caramelised onion, and the nicely spiced Moroccan chicken with its lime yoghurt dressing.  Order the Roast Chicken loaded fries and you’ll have the cheesy chicken-y layer added, along with spinach and pine nuts and a sweet harissa piled on top.

Two Sisters Pizza has taken over the café space beside the lagoon and regulars can rest assured their much-loved plain chips and ice creams in cones are still available too along the new Insta-worthy menu stars.

There are knockout gluten-free pizza bases available – and vegan and vegetarian diners won’t go hungry either.

The restaurant is a sibling to the Two Sisters pizzeria at Auchenflower – but this one boasts a lagoon as a neighbour and is licensed so the grown-ups can have a coldie with their lunch or dinner.

Two Sisters Pizza, at 155 Southern Cross Circuit, Springfield Central is open daily from 9am-5pm. Phone 3470 5884.
