42 to 42B The Terrace‚ North Ipswich

The open day at the former Woollen Mills as part of Galvanized – a festival of heritage is a rare opportunity to see inside this iconic Ipswich building.

Formerly abuzz with weaving machines, looms and hundreds of employees the now empty building echoes of the past and provides inspiration for its future. Recent research has revealed many stories from former employees which provide the social history of the site which was used as a woollen mill for over 100 years.

The building will be open from 9am until 3pm with guided tours hourly from 10am until 2pm.
