6 Yoga Way‚ Springfield Central

Sage Cafe burst onto the Springfield dining scene in January 2023 with owners Che and Chloe Fell pouring their customary energy and attention to detail into both the space and the menu. Locals will know this pair from their other popular venue Café Kalina in the Kalina Springfield Estate.

What’s the secret to success in hospitality?
“Experience and staying customer-centric… this is my 14th café, and you have to be different,” Che said.

The menu runs from a range of quick but hearty breakfasts and lunch options for the office community around the cafe, through to colourful Instagram-worthy specialties for those looking for a long relaxed outing and a nice coffee. Go for bubble and squeak with patties, bacon, eggs and relish, or bacon waffles with maple and icecream or classics like French toast, smashed avo or eggs Benedict. There’s a good list of burgers for lunch and the St Louis BBQ pork ribs are a plate of sticky deliciousness.

With loads of seating indoors and out, Sage is open 7am to 4pm daily. Dogs are welcome and puppycinos and hand-made dog treats are available.

Themed trivia nights are run every second Saturday night. It is free to join the fun and not uncommon for 100 people to rock up.
