This may be slightly biased, but Ipswich is a goldmine for fabulous events! This region is very fortunate to hold some of the best parties. From the fabulous Chamber of Commerce awards to the exhilarating Ipswich Cup, every season has something to offer those who like to frock up. But the burning question remains: where do you go to find the one? The perfect outfit, that is! Loz Advanturez has all the answers for you.
Rosewood and Marburg

Starting on the western side of town, in the sweet town of Rosewood, this is where our shopping trail begins! There’s not one but two fabulous spots to search for the perfect dress for the perfect event. Kaysuelle Fashions has styles for every occasion, for the young to the mature woman, and accessories to go with! This store stocks an array of sizes.
FUN FACT: The clearance section of this fashion boutique was once a traditional Lolly Shop, which I visited every Friday after school. I loved getting one of EVERYTHING. How fun that this place served me well when I was young, and now as I’ve grown older!
A few doors down is Elly Rae Fashions, which is the one stop shop for event styles for the mature woman. Elly is known for her exquisite Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom dress collections, which are perfect for that special occasion. Elly also has a milliner that supplies one-of-a-kind fascinators, so if you’re looking for something extra special for a winter racing carnival, this is the shop to visit.
Back in the car for less than fifteen minutes we’ll find the idyllic town of Marburg. The Soul Nook Collective, which is a personal favourite for me. At the Soul Nook you’ll find unique clothing, but this is also where you’ll likely find the perfect pair of earrings that no one else will have!
LIVE LIKE A LOCAL: While you’re in town, stop by the gorgeous antique shops including Scotland Yard Antiques, The Black Museum and Special Branch Collective, which also does a great coffee!
Top of Town

Embers and Twine, in the Old Flour Mill, is not only an inclusive space for people of all abilities, has excellent coffee next door in The Mill Coffee Shop, but its latest addition is a cute boutique filled with hand selected fabulous styles. If you have a more laid back approach to your fashion, you’ll quickly fall in love with the styles at Embers and Twine. Alicia also has a wonderful array of accessories and bag choices to match whatever outfit you’ve selected. You might also find yourself purchasing a new candle while you’re there too!
If you’re shoe obsessed, you’ll know within a few steps inside Obsession Shoes where your new favourite shop is. From casual wear to black tie, there is a shoe for every style and occasion at Obsession Shoes. What really makes this shop worth visiting is you’ll be able to completely finish your outfit in this one small but beautiful store. Janette has found jewellery and fascinators, or hats, that go perfectly with the wide variety of shoes on offer. If you haven’t found your perfect dress yet, it’s certainly worth circling back to Obsession Shoes. From quirky to glam, Oh Jo Jo! Boutique is your next stop on the shopping trail. When you arrive, take a moment to enjoy the window display. Jo and her team put a lot of effort into creating this… I always find inspiration from what’s shown on the display. Jo is a queen at styling you for your shape, so it’s worth taking her advice, you’ll be pleasantly surprised on what you’ll like! Oh Jo Jo! has a funky range of sunglasses to choose from, and if you’re heading to an event during the day, the answer is YES! You should match your sunnies to your outfit.

Springfield

Orion Springfield Central is Ipswich’s home of style, and if you haven’t found your style, you’re likely to find it at Her Wardrobe.
Another locally owned boutique, in the heart of Springfield, has fashion options for all occasions. From the minute I walked into the store, there were many oohs and aahs, and a few “quick hide the credit card, I’m on a mission” moments! There was plenty to look through, and I was impressed by the sizing they had on offer. Worth the drive? YES!
Once you’ve shopped up a storm and probably taken home more than you planned for, it’s time to enjoy the rest of the day. Did you shop without an occasion in mind? Don’t worry, click here to find a classy occasion coming up.
