From the illustrious stages of Bluesfest to the Woodford Folk Festival, Karl S. Williams has graced Australia’s most revered music events, including Dark Mofo and the Tamworth Country Music Festival. Each performance is hailed as a spiritual experience, leaving an audience profoundly moved and slightly altered in the best way possible.

Rooted in tradition yet seamlessly intertwined with the contemporary, Karl’s music is a timeless fusion of folk, blues, and gospel. His songs are steeped in the swamp water of the northern NSW cane country where he was raised, lending the distinct flavour of this land to all his work.

Karl’s latest album, ‘Rainbows in the Gasoline’ was released September 2023. A collection of new songs, lost songs and unreleased material recorded alone and live-to-tape it was created in a liminal year as the world began to regain its equilibrium post-pandemic. Simple, unadorned and vital, these recordings mark a full circle in his artistic journey and capture the essence of his solo performance as never before.
