Ipswich Civic Centre, 50 Nicholas Street Ipswich

MC comedian Anthony Lamond, brings comedy to Ipswich in the monthly Stitch in the ‘swich series.

May’s session welcomes The Nelson Twins, Ting Lim and Jessie Morwood.

The Nelson Twins are one of the most unique stand-up comedy acts in the world. Raised in the rural New South Wales town of Walbundrie, they have been performing as a duo for the past 13 years. The twins have fast become one of the most sought-after double acts in Australia, dazzling corporate and club crowds alike with their cheeky humour.

Ting Lim is a io Singaporean-born beloved favourite on the Brisbane comedy scene. Her dark wit, cutting humour and distinctive style have made her a rising star in Australian comedy. Ting’s comedy has taken her from her native Singapore to outback Queensland performing for drought-stricken communities, to opening for stars like Beth Stelling, Demetri Martin, and sharing the stage with Jimeoin and many more.

Jessie Morwood was a boring, shy, 1960s model Australian housewife. Rudely thrown out into the wider world at the age of 35, Jessie segued into radio announcing, gender researching, and university-ing (and dancing like an elephant with various rather desperate dance troupes). She’s since dropped more than her apron to dip her toes into the comedy arena – if nothing else it should be a fun ride.
