Get ready for some serious sparkles

Effervescence returns to Spicers Hidden Vale at Grandchester, an hour’s drive from Brisbane. Australia’s first weekend festival devoted to champagne is on again from the 11th to the 13th August.

Attend the event in style

Two and three-night VIP packages to Effervescence include exquisite country accommodation; long table lunches; a 5-course degustation dinner; champagne masterclasses; and much more. There’s also the chance to learn the traditional art of Sabrage – slicing open a champagne bottle with a military sabre.

Effervescence-Spicers

If you don’t have an entire weekend free to devote to French bubbles, there’s the Champagne Trail experience on the Sunday afternoon. Tasting tables representing 27 different champagne houses will be dotted across the picturesque rural grounds of Spicers Hidden Vale. With notebook and complimentary champagne glass in hand, you can ‘tour’ the champagne region of France – without leaving south-east Queensland!
