If you’re looking for a party this New Year’s check out this list of events set to bring in the new year with a bang!

Masquerade Ball


Masked in mystery and draped in decadence, a masquerade ball is nothing short of magical.

Join The Racehorse Hotel as they say “see ya later” to 2021 with a masquerade party on December 31 from 8pm.

There is $1000 in cash and prizes to win on the night, live entertainment from 9pm, a red carpet arrival with photographer, canapes, a mask decorating station and a balloon drop at midnight.

Countdown with Colour at Tivoli Drive In

Bring in 2022 with colourful activities for the whole family while enjoying the music of Savvy, The Fabulous Lemon Drops and other home-grown performers.

There will be endless choices of food and drinks to indulge in, a monster truck show to watch, then end the evening off with fireworks.

Countdown with Colour event will run from 3pm-10.30pm.

New Year’s Eve Races

Bring the family and find a spot overlooking the winning post to enjoy an afternoon of live thoroughbred racing in Ipswich from 12pm-5pm.  Food and beverages will be available for purchase or book into The Barn Family Restaurant for a smorgasbord lunch.  Free race course entry and car park.

High tea in the garden

Enjoy an assortment of canapes and sandwiches with an alcoholic tea cocktail, a few pots or tea and live music in the Tranquil Tea House gardens.

Take home a tea gift to celebrate the dawn of 2022!  Suitable for children over 10, the event runs from 4pm-6pm.

Dinner and fireworks

Enjoy live music and dinner from Krave Kebab or Golden Lor Chinese Takeaway at Ripley Town Centre.  After dinner, head to the carpark to see the fireworks display at 9pm.

Entertainment and fireworks


Welcome in the New Year at Ecco Ripley!  Enjoy dinner from the Dumpling Master food truck at Faye Carr Park from 6pm plus enjoy a great view of the New Years Eve fireworks display at 9pm.

White party


Celebrate with the Orion Hotel’s White Party.  Dress in white and party with legendary DJ duo Bonka from 6pm-late.

Tigerlilly in the Playroom


Falvey’s Yamanto will see the new year in with Tigerlilly plus the best club DJs around in the Playroom from 8pm-2am.

Beach party


Come sing, dance and be merry as you see the New Year in style with a beach themed karaoke night at the MiHi Tavern. 

Dust off your favourite Hawaiian shirt, slap on some zink and wear your best board shorts.  This is an 18+ event held in the sports bar from 8pm-1am with free entry.

Celebration at Brothers

Disco Disciples

New Year’s Eve celebrations at Brothers Ipswich will start with Disco Disciples in the Lounge from 8pm until midnight.

You’ll also find DJ JD7 in the Sports Bar from 8.30pm.  There will be prizes for best dressed.

This year there will be fire works at Ripley, Rosewood, Ipswich Central and Springfield this New Years at 9pm.
