Hardings Paddock Picnic Area boasts wide open spaces, BBQs, sheltered picnic areas and toilets. Enjoy a BBQ or picnic overlooking the dam, before taking a wander through eucalypt woodlands, embarking on the bush tucker trail and taking in spectacular views.

Hardings Paddock is the northern gateway into the Flinders-Goolman Conservation Estate. The seven trails that depart from Hardings Paddock take you through the vast open spaces situated within the Conservation Estate and are suitable for various fitness levels, ranging from average to moderate.

Most of the trails are multi-use providing opportunity for mountain biking and horse riding (BYO bike and/or horse). Cycling on trails provides a wonderful opportunity to travel through scenic countryside without the stress of riding along roads with traffic. The 3km family-orientated Gamlen Circuit trail offers just this.

How to get here: Travel along the Ipswich Boonah Road (off the Cunningham Highway) to Carmichael’s Road and continue to the end to reach Hardings Paddock.

Hardings Paddock Picnic Area is open daily from 6am to 6pm. BYO drinking water.
