The Ipswich Nature Centre is housed within Queens Park, 22+ hectares of undulating hills and pretty parkland which stands watch over the heritage buildings of Ipswich Central.
The recently expanded Centre has been drawing crowds to Queens Park since 1936. And it's no suprise. Families are offered the rare opportunity to weave and wander their way through recreated animal habitats.
Australia native animals - emus, wallabies, dingoes, cockatoos and the gorgeous southern hairy-nosed wombat - are certainly the star attractions, but so too is the beautiful walk-through Bird Aviary and the adorable Nursery Farm animals.

Directions: From Ipswich Central travel East along Brisbane Street, then turn right into Milford Street. Turn left into Goleby Avenue and you will be inside Queens Park, with Ipswich Nature Centre located on your right. |
